Awesome Ballerina

Hi friends,

I disappear for months and then you get two cards in two days :)  This is probably a one off special though!

Today we have a new monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles.  Our theme this month is Anything Goes with the optional twist of 'Anything Work or Career Related'. I decided to use this very cute Ballerina digi and I couldn't help but put her in a pink tutu - very feminine!

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Ballerina
MFT Stamps - Background Lace
MFT Stamps - Geometric Greenery
MFT Die-namics - Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames
MFT Die- namics - Button Quartet
Neenah Cardstock - Desert Storm
Stampendous Embossing Powder - White
Tsukineko Versamark Stamp Pad - Watermark
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Pretty Pink Posh Sequins - Fresh Mint 4mm
Pretty Pink Posh Sequins - Sparkling Clear 4mm
Wink of Stella Glitter Pen - Clear
Ribbon and Twine from stash

For the background I stamped a piece of white cardstock with a lace stamp and watermark ink.  I then heat embossed with white embossing powder and added some green ribbon.  I mounted this onto desert storm cardstock. The image was framed using MFT stitched rectangle scallop frame and mounted onto the background.  I added some sequins and wink of stella to the image.  The buttons were die-cut and coloured to match her outfit and secured with some twine. The sentiment, from Geometric Greenery stamp set, was stamped in black ink mounted onto the frame.

Toadly into You

Hi there,

It's been a very, very long time; crafting has taken a back seat these days as bubs and family demand all my time and attention.  I've been itching though to get back into it and I finally got a chance to do some colouring the other night - I had nearly forgotten how to do it!

I had been wanting to colour up this digi called Toadly for quite sometime and Valentine's day gave me a good reason too!  I love this guy in his toad suit and the punny sentiment which comes with the image. You can find this image here in the Whimsie Doodles Store.

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Toadly
Crafts-Too Embossing Folder - Hearts
MFT Die-namics - Blueprints 24
MFT Die-namics - Blueprints 29
MFT 6x6 Paper Pack - Dots and Stripes Fresh
Core'dinations Cardstock - Midnight
Doodlebug Designs Sprinkles - Limeade
Wink of Stella Glitter Pen - Clear

Copics:
Heart: R22, 24, 29, 46
Toad Suit: YG23, YG25, G24, G28, YG01, Y13, Y15

I kept the layout very simple. Having been away from crafting for so long has resulted in absolutely no mojo at all!  It's like I have forgotten how to put a card together.  I'm hoping it comes back soon.

Here's hoping I get more crafting done in 2017!

HapBee Hello

Hi Friends,

I hope you are all well. Summer is well on its way here in Sydney, the days are getting longer and the temperature is rising! So for my DT card for Whimsie Doodles I decided a fresh summery card was in order.  It was time to colour up this adorable bee - I love it. This image is called 'Pollen for You' and can be found here.

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Pollen for You
MFT Stamps - Label Maker Sentiments
Doodlebug Design Paper Pad - Sunkissed
MFT Die-namics - Label Tape
Taylored Expressions Dies - Build a Scene Rolling Clouds
MFT Die-namics - In and Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax
MFT Die-namics - Grassy Hills
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Tim Holtz Distress Glitter - Clear Rock Candy
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Ranger Glossy Accents
Daisy Embossing Folder

I coloured the image in with my copics and added some rock candy to the wings and some glossy accents to his nose. I then fuzzy cut the image out.  For the background scene I used some die-cut clouds as a template to sponge a cloudy sky.  I then die-cut a grassy hill from some grassy DP paper.  I created a white frame using two stitched rounded square dies, which I then mounted to frame the scene. I stamped the sentiment in black ink used the corresponding die to cut it out. I adhered this to the side of the frame.  I created an embossed white daisy background using a die I picked up in the dollar store. I mounted this to the card base and then mounted my frame on top.

All Things Fall

Hi There,

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.  While we are very much well into spring over here in Oz, I have an autumn card to share with you today. That is because it is challenge time once again over at Whimsie Doodles.  Your theme is anything goes with an optional twist of 'All Things Fall'.

Here is the card I came up with - another super easy one to put together. I decided to leave the card sentiment free so it could be used for any particular occasion, however this image does come with its own punny sentiment - " You leaf me breathless'!

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Leaf Me
MFT Die-namics - Wonky Stitch Rectangle Stax
Neenah Cardstock - Desert Storm
Carta Bella Digital Paper - A Perfect Autumn
Ribbon from Stash

I coloured the image in with my copics and fuzzy cut it out. I then mounted it onto a die-cut of desert storm cardstock, which in turn I mounted a die-cut of white card. For the background some autumn tree paper was adhered to desert storm cardstock. I piece of green ribbon from my stash was then attached and the whole panel mounted onto the card base.
